Job Opportunity: Senior Quality Engineer

Location: Stroud

Salary: £50,000 (Negotiable)

We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead and improve quality assurance processes within a precision manufacturing environment. This role ensures compliance, continuous improvement, and collaboration across teams to maintain high product standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Investigate and resolve quality issues using 8D, 5 Whys, FMEA, and Fishbone Diagrams.
2. Perform product and process audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001.
3. Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and Poka-Yoke initiatives for process improvement.
4. Track KPIs like scrap rates and defect levels to identify trends.
5. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
6. Maintain quality records and audit findings, reporting to senior management.
7. Support training in quality awareness and best practices.

Requirements:

1. Time-served experience or a degree in engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in quality engineering.
3. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.
4. Proven leadership experience and ability to mentor junior engineers.
5. Experience working with cross-functional teams in product development.
