An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Estimator to join one of the UK’s most trusted names in fit-out and refurbishment services for leisure, retail, and commercial environments. Recognised amongst the UK’s top twenty fit-out contractors, our client delivers high-quality projects nationwide across a diverse portfolio including retail, hospitality, offices, banking, restaurants, pubs, bars, and hotel environments. With a reputation built on quality, reliability, and consistent delivery, they continue to secure prestigious projects with leading national brands. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a commercially astute Senior Estimator to join their established pre-construction team.

As Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in the successful tendering and securing of fast-paced fit-out and refurbishment projects across the UK. You will be responsible for producing accurate, competitive, and commercially sound estimates whilst working closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal delivery teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator looking to join a highly respected contractor with a strong pipeline of repeat business and long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
  • Analysing drawings, specifications, and project requirements
  • Managing multiple tenders simultaneously within tight deadlines
  • Obtaining and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations
  • Conducting site visits and tender adjudications where required
  • Working collaboratively with operations, commercial, and design teams
  • Identifying value engineering opportunities and commercial risks
  • Supporting business development and client engagement activities

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within fit-out, refurbishment or main contracting
  • Excellent understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software
