Kingston Barnes has a fantastic opportunity for a Production Shift Lead for one of our manufacturing clients in the Bristol area. Our client specialises in machining complex machined parts for the aerospace industry and is looking for a Production Lead to oversee production to ensure safety, quality, and output targets are met.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the shopfloor staff to ensure tasks are completed to required standards and schedules
- Monitor and report on shift performance
- Drive and support Total productive maintenance activities
- Promote lean manufacturing principles
- Be the point of liaison between the shop floor and management
- Complete accurate shift handover reports, production logs, and incident records
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
- Assist in setting and operating CNC machines when required
About you:
- A proven background in leadership within a precision manufacturing environment
- Experienced CNC, assembly, or precision engineering background
- Ability to motivated and guide a team
- Strong communicator
- Proven background in coaching and team development
- Experience within aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environment
- Experience conducting shift handovers and daily production meetings
The Benefits:
- £43,000 - £45,690 per annum
- Monday to Friday, 37-hour working week
- Overtime at time and a half
