Kingston Barnes has an exciting opportunity for a Product Industrial Design Engineer position for one of our clients in Dorset. Full training and development in company and manufacturing systems with an excellent starting salary.
The Company: Our client is a start-up business with exclusive contracts lined up. Their owner is a proven leader within design and robotics, electronics and engineering integration industry, having set up successful businesses previously in this space. This is a real opportunity to be one of the first in the business, own equity and be a driving force of another success story.
The Role: Reporting to the Design Manager, the design engineer is responsible for product and industrial design. This will involve integration of electronics, AI and robotics into products. It is required that all designs must incorporate a ‘design for manufacture’ philosophy, using sound engineering practice, exceed customer expectations and meet the high standards of quality required in accordance with processes and principles, whilst considering the financial aspects of each design.
The candidate:
- Product and Industrial Design
- Solidworks experience
- Knowledge of sheet metal and injection moulding
- Experience with electronics integration or awareness
- Able to produce 2D and 3D Drawings
- Detailed design experience
- Understanding manufacturing processes
