Our client is an engineering tool provider with customers using their process solutions for a wide range of uses. They are looking for a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join the team and help them achieve our mission of providing the best solutions for customers.
Your role responsibilities:
- Work with other designers and departments to ensure specifications are clear and complete.
- Ensure our designs are of world class quality and right first time.
- Work with other departments to translate the technical requirements into structured modular designs.
- Be proficient in the use of AutoCAD Electrical, Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Liaise with sub-contractors and, where necessary, carry out supplier/site visits.
- Development of design-related tools and automation.
- Help less experienced staff to grow their skills.
- Improvement in departmental processes.
- Support the Electrical Engineering Manager with the running of the department.
Requirements:
- Experience in designing machine control systems.
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, Postgraduate preferred.
- Problem solving skills.
- Ability to analyse data.
- Process development skills.
- Methodical and organised.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
