We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team with a minimum of 5 years commercial maintenance experience. The role involves working across a portfolio of gas-fired plant rooms, delivering maintenance, servicing, and installation projects, primarily in the social housing sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and optimising system performance. There will also be opportunities to develop skills in low-carbon technology, project management, and remote monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, maintain, and repair commercial gas appliances and plant room equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Diagnose and repair breakdowns, including emergency call-outs.
  • Provide recommendations on asset management, upgrades, and system optimisation.
  • Assist with data collection for quotations and project planning.
  • Use field service management software for scheduling and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure efficient workflow.

Training & Career Development:

  • Support to obtain Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification to enhance safety and leadership skills on-site.
  • Manufacturer-led training on boilers, water heaters, and low-carbon technology.
  • BMS remote monitoring training, including Tridium and EasyIO platforms, for advanced building management system (BMS) integration.
  • Hands-on experience with modern control systems to improve efficiency and fault diagnostics.
