The Role
We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to join the field engineering team, supporting customers across the Crawley to Basingstoke region. Key responsibilities include:
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding (predominantly electrical).
- Delivering high levels of customer service in line with company standards.
- Clear and professional communication with clients.
- Accurate reporting and completion of documentation / call trackers in a timely manner.
- Working independently while maintaining regular communication with the team.
- Assisting colleagues when required.
- Ensuring PPE is properly maintained and used in accordance with health and safety requirements.
- Adhering to quality and H&S standards at all times.
Requirements
- Recognised electrical / electronic qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent).
- Strong industrial background (manufacturing, engineering, production environments).
- Experience with 3-phase motors, 415v systems, and CPU testing.
- Basic mechanical knowledge desirable (e.g. bearings, drives, sprockets – training provided).
Package & Benefits
- Salary: £36,000 starting (with progression opportunities of up to 10%)
- OTE: £50,000+
- Company van (Mercedes – private use allowed), mobile phone, laptop, tools, PPE & uniform provided
- Overtime paid door-to-door (time and a half)
- Annual bonus scheme (c.10%, company performance-based)
- Pension scheme & holiday allowance (details confirmed at offer stage)
- Normal working hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30
- Participation in a call‑out rota shared across the UK team
