Kingston Barnes has an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing and dynamic manufacturing business in Bristol, producing high-spec, precision sheet metal components. We are seeking an experienced Fabricator Welder to support ongoing demand and contribute to the delivery of bespoke, high-quality work.

You will be based at the Bristol facility, working on complex steel fabrications to exacting standards. The role combines hands-on fabrication with high-quality welding. Work will include fillet and butt welds, both full and partial penetration, across a range of steel grades and thicknesses.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacture sheet metal items using mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
Read and interpret technical and engineering drawings.
Accurately measure and mark materials.
Cut, bend, and form metal using various sheet metal machines.
Assemble and join components using welding, soldering, or bolting.
Finish products through grinding, filing, cleaning, and polishing.
Identify and repair faults or damaged components.
Maintain high standards of quality while meeting deadlines.

About you

Time-served fabricator/welder with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Proven experience in MIG/MAG welding within a sheet metal or fabrication environment.
Strong understanding of welding procedures, preheat, and temperature control.
Ability to work independently while also taking direction when required.
Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Comfortable working to deadlines and prioritising workload.
Keen to learn, develop, and support others.
