We are recruiting for an experienced Day Shift Team Leader to take responsibility for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of a complex industrial site. This is a senior supervisory role with clear accountability for people, performance, and safety, offering long-term stability and an excellent benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Leading and supervising day shift operational teams
- Promoting and embedding a strong safety-first culture
- Managing safe systems of work, permits, and site authorisations
- Coordinating site activities to maximise availability and efficiency
- Managing contractors, visitors, and site inductions
- Carrying out risk assessments and supporting incident investigations
- Supporting continuous improvement across safety, quality, and performance
- Acting as a senior operational point of contact in the absence of the Operations Manager
- Maintaining shift rotas, training records, and competency compliance
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a process, power, or heavy industrial environment
- Proven supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Experience with safe systems of work, permits, and contractor control
- Confident communicator with good organisational skills
- Engineering qualification such as ONC / HNC (or equivalent)
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification desirable
- Senior Authorised Person experience (mechanical or electrical) advantageous
Package & Benefits
- Salary of £62,000 per year
- Discretionary annual bonus of up to 10%
- Monday-Friday days only
