We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's dynamic engineering team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical systems and fault finding on PLCs across the site.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong technical expertise in electrical systems, leadership qualities, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

The position involves working on complex electrical equipment, Siemens PLCs, DCS system, three phase motors, HV (Training provided).

The Electrical Maintenance Engineer is expected to provide preventative maintenance and electrical service and support to the site, ensuring continuous improvement in the standards of electrical engineering, health and safety and environmental performance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Replace, dismantle and repair AC and DC motors, including cleaning, changing brushes, replacing bearings and couplings, and testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns, identifying failure modes of plant equipment and returning the equipment to operation safely and in a reasonable timeframe.
  • Fault find on PLCs to ensure seamless automation processes.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation accurately.

Skills

  • Experience with electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair of industrial equipment.
  • Proficiency in maintaining PLCs.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Electrical qualifications are essential.
  • Engineering or Manufacturing background is essential.
