The role
As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, you’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering the engineering strategy, leading a high-performing Engineering Team and driving improvements across people, plant and processes.
The site is undergoing an exciting period of expansion, with increased production and new product development.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact, leading engineering improvements and supporting the continued growth and development of the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire and develop the Engineering Team, building a culture of engagement, empowerment and high performance.
- Ensure health and safety remains a top priority.
- Develop and deliver the site’s engineering strategy in line with wider business objectives.
- Drive the development of people through apprenticeships, training and personal development plans.
- Lead capital investment projects and manage engineering budgets to improve manufacturing capability and performance.
- Optimise service contracts and operational costs.
- Work closely with the Site Leadership Team and Group Engineering Team to deliver best practices and continuous improvement.
- Support the development of people, plant and processes across the site.
The Candidate
We’re looking for an experienced engineering leader with a strong manufacturing background, proven commercial awareness and the ability to deliver large-scale improvements.
You’ll need to be confident leading teams, managing budgets and delivering projects, with a solid understanding of Lean, reliability, safety and environmental standards.
You will hold relevant engineering qualifications.
