Engineering and Project Manager Location: Beddington, Ardley, Peterborough & Tilbury (Hybrid with site travel) Salary: £65,000 + £6,800 Car Allowance + Bonus up to 10% + Benefits About the Role We are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation within the Energy Recovery / Process industry for an experienced Regional Engineer. This is a key leadership position, supporting multiple sites to deliver long-term plant reliability, safety, and performance. As Regional Engineer, you will ensure optimal plant availability through effective planning, outage delivery, engineering assurance, and contractor management. You will work closely with Plant Managers, Procurement, and the central Engineering team to develop and deliver robust engineering solutions across several Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs). Key Responsibilities Act as the main point of contact for site Engineering Managers. Support Procurement and Commercial teams with service support tenders. Develop engineering budget requirements to support lifecycle and CAPEX expenditure. Drive engineering best practice across the fleet. Lead and mature outage planning and delivery strategies in line with company policies. Undertake regular site visits, including management meetings, audits, and team feedback sessions. Provide guidance to Engineering Managers during breakdowns and coordinate contractor support. Ensure compliance with engineering, safety, and environmental standards. Present engineering reports on maintenance, performance, compliance, and sustainability. Support ongoing professional development and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. About You My client is looking for someone with a strong engineering background and proven leadership experience. You will bring a mechanical bias and the ability to manage engineering projects, budgets, and contractors within a fast-paced industrial or power environment. Essential Skills & Experience: Mechanical engineering background with relevant qualifications (minimum HNC or equivalent). Experience working at engineering management level on complex projects. Strong knowledge of outage planning and delivery. Proven budgetary control and commercial acumen. Experience leading teams and managing contractors to deliver against KPIs. Good knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation. Desirable: Understanding of LOLER and PUWER regulations. Previous experience in process or power environments. Experience managing engineering budgets.
