Electrician Location: Bristol Salary: £34,450 – £36,650 The Company: A company specialising in the hire, installation and maintenance of Diesel Generators. The company’s products apply to a variety of industries, and they have a solid customer base. They have steadily grown over the last few years and are now looking to take on an Electrician. Key Responsibilities: · Prepare and test single and three-phase rental equipment such as AMF panels, distribution boards, isolation panels, and transformers. · Conduct functional testing and inspections of rental electrical equipment in compliance with company policies. · Prepare and test rental cables, including single cables up to 240mm² and three-phase multicore cables up to 35mm². · Assemble rental cables and accessories, including lugged connections, Powerlock connections, and ceeform plugs and sockets. · Inspect, repair, and prepare DNO connectors for hire. · Troubleshoot electrical control systems, diagnose faults, identify faulty components, and assist with repairs. · Work closely with the Operations Team to manage fleet availability and handle shortfalls. · Provide assistance to the sales team through site surveys. · Assist with yard duties, including loading/unloading equipment and reporting any damages. · Adhere to Health & Safety, Environmental policies, and ISO standards to contribute to the company’s continuous improvement efforts. Skills and Experience: · Qualified Electrician (preferably with a recognized Certificate of Apprenticeship). · Previous experience in the rental industry is advantageous, with knowledge of generator control systems being a plus (training will be provided). · 17th/18th Edition qualification (City & Guilds Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671: 2018). · Forklift license (training available). · ECS or CSCS card preferred. · Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail. · Excellent communication and customer service skills.
