Do you have existing mechanical maintenance experience looking for a new challenge? Can you complete planned and unplanned maintenance activities in a continuous process environment? Can you complete maintenance activities without supervision?
If so, this exciting new role could be for you! Our client is looking for a mechanical maintenance engineer to join their team and help them achieve their goals by completing repairs and maintenance of all the mechanical equipment on site and providing support to other disciplines as necessary using experience and skills.
Your responsibilities:
- Responsible for carrying out planned and unplanned maintenance activities
- Responsible for the upkeep and general reliability of the equipment.
- Ensure plans and strategies are effectively undertaken
- To promote the environment and health and safety in the workplace
- Ensure maintenance targets and plans are achieved safely, economically and within the environmental limits
- Carry out fault diagnosis and rectify as required
- Conduct site inspections and area safety inspections.
- Ensure that all reporting within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is effective and completed promptly.
- Carry out risk assessments to ensure activities are completed in a safe manner.
Requirements:
- Technical qualification such as NVQ or City and Guilds
- Experience working with Maintenance Management Systems
- Experience in mechanical engineering of process industry
- Able to think logically and solve problems effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to work without supervision.
Hours: Monday to Friday - Days
