We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our clients dynamic engineering team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving Mechanical systems across the site.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong technical expertise in mechanical systems, leadership qualities, and a commitment to safety and quality standards Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Installation and maintenance of rotating equipment including pumps, refiners, machine rolls, agitators and fans.
  • Fault finding on, and repair of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.
  • Repair of compressors and other ancillary equipment
  • Rigging and lifting of heavy equipment.
  • General fabrication work Skills
  • Experience with mechanical systems, including troubleshooting and repair of industrial equipment.
  • General knowledge of industrial plant and process equipment is essential
  • Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
  • Formal technical qualification in Mechanical i. e. NVQ Level 3 / C&G Level 3 Mechanical or equivalent.
  • Engineering or Manufacturing background is essential The Mechanical Maintenance engineer is expected to provide preventative maintenance and electrical service and support to the site, ensuring continuous improvement in the standards of electrical engineering, health and safety and environmental performance
