Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer or Shift Electrician looking for your next challenge within a large manufacturing environment? Kingston Barnes is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing business in the Coleford area for a Shift Electrician to join an established engineering team. The Role
- Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the site
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on manufacturing equipment
- Completing preventative maintenance schedules using the CMMS system
- Fault finding on motors, drives, control systems and production machinery
- Repairing and maintaining AC & DC motors
- Working on motor control circuits, lighting systems and electrical distribution equipment
- Supporting maintenance on cranes, compressors and other ancillary equipment
- Assisting with fault finding on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Working safely under permit‑to‑work procedures and site safety systems
- Supporting continuous improvement and identifying long‑term engineering solutions
The Ideal Candidate
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent Electrical Engineering qualification
- 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, process or industrial environment
- Strong electrical fault‑finding and maintenance experience
- Experience with motors, motor control, PLCs and variable speed drives
- Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and preventative maintenance
- Experience using CMMS systems (SAP experience advantageous)
- A proactive approach with excellent problem‑solving skills
- The ability to work effectively within a shift engineering team
