Are you a Production or Manufacturing Engineer with a hands-on CNC background from a Precision Manufacturing background looking for an exciting opportunity? Then get in touch! Kingston Barnes has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer for one of our clients in North Somerset.
The Role:
- Day-to-day production support across a variety of manufacturing processes, including turning, milling and grinding
- Actively contribute to the channel cross-functional team solving daily issues
- Data driven process capability and process improvement activities
- Customer interface for engineering changes
- Technical interface with suppliers
- New product introduction activities, including manufacturing process and layout creation, prototyping and serial production support
- Lead costing and quoting exercises
- Defining manufacturing instructions, CNC machine program creation (CAM) and creating technical documents
- Support implementation of new CNC equipment
- Support reduction of scrap, loss and rework through process control and improvement
- Liaise with Design Office, Supply Chain, Planning, Customer Service, EHS and Quality Assurance functions
Qualifications and Experience Essential:
- 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
- HNC/Degree in a technical discipline
- Problem solving experience (5Why, A3, 8D)
