Kingston Barnes is recruiting a Senior Quality Engineer for our client in the Bristol area. You will be a key part of the business as a member of the senior leadership team and you will ensure the quality assurance activities comply with AS9100 and customer requirements.

The Company: Our client specialises in machining complex machined parts for the aerospace industry. They're an established business in their field and work with market-leading names to assist them with the manufacturing of parts.

The Role:

  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System
  • Lead an internal team of Quality Engineers
  • Support new product introduction activities, including inspection plans, control plans, and AS9102 FAIR approval
  • Assist with APQP and PPAP activities, including supplier PPAP approval and compliance checks
  • Review engineering drawings and specifications to identify quality and manufacturing risks
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions using 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone tools
  • Monitor supplier quality performance and carry out supplier audits and development activities
