The successful MRP ERP Stock Controller will receive support and development which will provide you with an excellent opportunity to further yourself and progress your career within a continually expanding business.
The Role:
- Responsible for monitoring and managing stock levels, ensuring a steady supply of goods to meet customer demand while minimizing holding costs.
- Using stock replenish system to order new stock when inventory reaches predetermined levels, analysing demand and production requirements ensuring the timely availability of products.
- Conducting regular stock counts (system-based) to verify inventory accuracy, investigating discrepancies, and reconciling them.
- Communicating with suppliers to track orders, confirm delivery dates, resolve discrepancies, expediting urgent orders, and taking proactive measures to resolve stock-related issues.
- Accurately maintaining item records in ERP system, ensuring correct costing and sales price.
- Handling any quality related customer returns with supplier, following correct return and credit processes.
- Responsible for managing supplier relationships, monitoring current & past performance, identifying underperformance, and seeking continuous improvements.
- Investigating and resolving invoice queries.
- Working closely with forwarding agents & haulier companies.
- Ensuring correct Manufacturing Bill of material, including tools, operations and product configuration.
- Tracking slow-moving, non-moving, and aged stock; analysing underlying causes and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Prioritising daily system reports and taking required actions to solve any stock related issues.
- Collaborating with sales, production and planning teams to ensure smooth operations, manage order fulfillment, and meet business goals.
- Responsible for the successful introduction of new products, setting up products in database, working through the approval process making sure stock availability for launch date.
- Evaluating reports, identifying inefficiencies, continuously improving processes.
The Candidate:
- Experience in purchasing & inventory management β use of a computerised replenish system.
- Manufacturing background.
- Familiar with supply chain practices.
- Use of ERP system.
