The Company: An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Site Manager to join my client, an innovative housebuilder operating across the South and South West of England. They deliver high-quality, small to medium-sized residential developments, typically up to 40 homes per site working in partnership with public and private sector landowners.
The Opportunity: Due to a successful planning outcome they are starting on site on a new development in Dorset and are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of this 21 unit traditional build residential development in Dorset. You will play a key role in delivering the development and will work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day site operations from inception through to completion
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality expectations
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site labour
- Monitor progress against programme and report regularly to senior management
- Ensure all works comply with planning conditions, building regulations, and company standards
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks
- Lead site meetings and maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage site documentation, including RAMS, permits, and site records
- Support the successful handover of completed homes to clients and stakeholders
About You:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within residential construction
- Experience delivering small to medium-sized housing developments (ideally up to 100 units)
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, and site management best practices
- Experience working on complex or constrained sites is highly desirable
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
Qualifications:
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- CSCS Card (Black or Gold)
- First Aid at Work
- Full UK driving licence
