Our client is looking for CNC Grinder to join their team and help them with setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) grinding machines to produce precision parts and components.
Your primary goal is to ensure the accurate and efficient grinding of materials according to specifications while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Role responsibilities
Machine Setup
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work orders to understand grinding requirements.
- Operate CNC and Manual grinding machines
- Set up CNC grinding machines by installing and adjusting grinding wheels, fixtures, and tooling as per the job specifications.
- Program and edit CNC machine controls to define the grinding path and achieve the desired dimensions and surface finishes. Preferably Toyoda IPS & or Siemens but not a necessity
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and adherence to specifications.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance
- Capability to identify and resolve common CNC machine issues, such as tooling problems
- Proficiency in conducting routine machine maintenance and cleaning to ensure optimal performance.
- Knowledge of machine calibration and alignment procedures to maintain accuracy and precision.
Quality Assurance
- Attention to detail and ability to perform in-process inspections to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) to verify part dimensions and surface finishes.
Safety and Compliance
- Adherence to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Knowledge of machine guarding, lockout/tagout procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Compliance with company policies, quality standards, and relevant industry regulations.
Communication and Collaboration
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and engineers.
- Ability to document and maintain accurate production records, including setup sheets, tool lists & kits.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, machining techniques, and process improvements.
Requirements
- Experience on CNC and manual Griding machinery
- Experience in setting up and operating CNC machines
- Understanding of health and safety standards in a production environment
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

- 37 hour working week, Double days
- Monday to Thursday 6am β 2pm, 2pm β 10pm
- Fridays 6am β 11am, 11am β 4pm
