Applications Engineer Bedford Salary up to £46,000 Are you experienced with delivering estimates and quotations to customers based of specific technical requirements? Do you have experience working with pumps or closely related rotating equipment? Then get in touch! Kingston Barnes is recruiting for an Applications Engineer for our client in the Bedford area. Our client specialises in pump solutions, the company offers complete project management and installation services. They support products throughout their lifespan, providing servicing, repairs, and refurbishment, even for pumps from other manufacturers. The Role: You will be responsible for managing the selection, pricing, and delivery of pump equipment quotes within budget and deadlines and you will provide technical support to other departments as needed. You’ll handle customer enquiries by selecting pumps, pricing them, reviewing drawings and parts lists, and coordinating with engineers. Responsibilities include: * Selecting pumping equipment according to customer specifications and requirements * Prepare estimates and quotations for customers in a clear, detailed and accurate manner * Deliver high standard solutions and technical information for customers throughout the enquiry to quotation process * Ensure all quotations and estimates are provided on time and within the business KPI’s * Ensure all data and costings are recorded and up to date * Build strong working relationships with current and potential customers * Provide technical support to other areas of the business as and when required The Candidate: * Proven applications/proposal experience in pumps, pumping systems or closely related products * Qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related subject * Technical knowledge of pumps: applications, performance curves, system curves etc * Experienced of preparing and delivery quotations * Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and schematics The Benefits: * Salary up to £46,000 per annum * Monday to Friday, early finish on Friday * 25 days + 8 bank holidays * Pension * Opportunity for Hybrid working * EAP If you are interested please call Josh Hoyle on (phone number removed) or apply online * Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK to apply for this position
