Fuel Reception Operator Location: Bicester Salary: £40,000 Package: Annual bonus (circa 10%), up to 7% matched pension plan, excellent benefits Shift Pattern: Rotating days/nights (5-shift rotation) About the Role We’re looking for a Fuel Reception Operator to join a high-performing team at a leading facility in Bicester. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with heavy plant and machinery, takes pride in maintaining high safety standards, and wants to play a key part in the smooth running of site operations. You’ll be responsible for managing waste safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with site standards, and supporting plant operations to meet throughput and quality targets. Key Responsibilities Operate mobile plant and machinery such as loading shovels, 360 grabs, tele-handlers, MEWPs, and forklifts. Control vehicle movements in the tipping hall and ensure safe waste handling procedures are followed. Carry out loading and unloading operations safely and efficiently. Conduct random waste inspections and report non-conformances. Support site cleaning, maintenance, and shutdown activities to minimise downtime. Perform operator maintenance checks and report equipment defects promptly. What We’re Looking For Experience operating mobile plant in an industrial or waste environment. Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental procedures. Team player with excellent timekeeping and self-discipline. Relevant licences such as Loading Shovel, 360 Grab, Forklift Truck, and Slinging qualifications. Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
