We are seeking an experienced and proactive Goods In Supervisor to oversee the receipt and management of incoming materials within our warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the goods-in process, ensuring efficient handling, accurate inventory recording, and maintaining safety standards.
Location: Avonmouth, BS11
Hours: 0600-1400 and 1400-2200 rotating
Pay: £28000 per year
Responsibilities:
- QA checks of all incoming product and notification of any issues to correct person.
- Deliveries scheduled and booked-in as required and unloaded in a timely manner, all checks carried out as per MCG requirements.
- Completion of all safety and traceability documents, and ensuring that these are submitted to the correct departments (startup check, temperature stock control, etc.).
- Paperwork checks of all goods in documents.
- Level of stock monitored/ stock rotation/ stock management.
- Making sure the meat is defrosted and taking the meat out of the trays.
- Making sure the correct batch code, use-by date, quantities, supplier is on the product label.
- Liaising with all other departments.
- Ensure goods-in area and yard is kept clean.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a Goods In Supervisor or warehouse supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Experience working within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Good knowledge of stock control and inventory systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures.
