Are you seeking an HGV Class 1 Driving job in working for a family-run company based in Tewkesbury? Our client is a well-known company with an established reputation in their field, offering a great opportunity for an HGV 1 driver to join their transport team.
The Opportunity:
- Operating from their depot in Tewkesbury, you will be working night shifts.
- You will be delivering dairy products in pallets and cages to customers ranging from smaller independent customers to larger distribution centres.
- You will be completing a range of 1-8 drops per shift covering areas such as London, Manchester, South Wales, and Haverfordwest.
- Some drops will be forklifted off for you, while others may require pallet trucks and tail lift offload.
- The loads are not particularly heavy, but the lorry is refrigerated at +2 degrees.
- Full training will be provided, including routes and customer access procedures at night.
Shift pattern & times:
- You will never be required to work a Saturday night.
- The rota is a rolling shift pattern, working 5 days per week with two days off.
- Start times range from 20:00 to 03:00am, with efforts made to accommodate your desired start time.
Pay:
- £42,646.97 + £20 per week bonus (paid quarterly) for no damage to the vehicle.
- Contracted to 48 hours per week, paid weekly.
- Annual OTE - £43,686.97.
Key Requirements:
- HGV 1 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, CPC Card.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The knowledge and initiative to solve basic problems and make routine decisions.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Unfortunately, we cannot take anyone with a DR10 on their licence.
