Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer | Β£61,500 | 4 on 4 off (days and nights) Location: Bridgwater The Role A fast-growing manufacturing business with strong expansion plans is seeking a Multiskilled Shift Engineer to join its engineering team. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving a wide range of production equipment across a shift-based operation. The role requires strong electrical and mechanical skills to ensure maximum uptime, reliability, and efficiency of machinery. You will play a key part in reducing downtime, supporting production, and driving continuous improvement across the site. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance (PPM) Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults Respond quickly to breakdowns and production issues Carry out equipment inspections to ensure safe and compliant operation Support installation and commissioning of new equipment Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability projects Work in line with health & safety and site procedures About You Experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial engineering environment Strong electrical and mechanical skills (including PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, sensors, conveyors) Engineering qualification (HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) Confident fault-finder with strong problem-solving ability Able to manage workload and priorities effectively Good communication skills and team collaboration Salary Up to Β£61,500 Shift Pattern 12-hour shifts: 2 days, 2 nights, followed by 4 rest days Benefits 22 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (rising to 25 days with service) Christmas and New Year shutdown Pension (4% employer / 5% employee) Free onsite parking Onsite canteen Wellbeing platform (GP access, discounts, mental health support) Bike to Work scheme Company uniform provided If you are interested in this role please press Apply or reach out to Ryan Guy on 07837434353 TPBN1_UKTJ
