The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Electrical Technician to join a skilled maintenance team within a fast-paced production facility. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of plant operations through proactive maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement activities. The successful candidate will adopt a multi-skilled approach, working both independently and collaboratively to diagnose and resolve electrical issues within time-sensitive production constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across site equipment
- Diagnose and rectify faults on complex electrical systems using technical drawings
- Work on PLC-controlled systems managing hydraulic and pneumatic circuits
- Perform electrical installation work as required
- Ensure minimal downtime through efficient fault resolution
- Maintain high standards of health and safety compliance at all times
- Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Key Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in electrical fault finding within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Experience working with PLC-controlled systems (desirable)
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary & Hours
Salary: £50,775 per annum (rising to £52,517 after probation)
OTE: c.£62,000+ per annum (based on typical overtime)
Working Hours (32 hours per week):
Week 1: Saturday & Sunday: 10:00am-10:00pm (2 x 12-hour shifts) Friday: 2:00pm-10:00pm (1 x 8-hour shift)
Week 2: Friday & Saturday: 10:00pm-10:00am (2 x 12-hour shifts) Sunday: 10:00pm-6:00am (1 x 8-hour shift)
