Kingston Barnes are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Junior Project Engineer to our client in the Wirral area. We supply processing and packaging equipment into the FMCG and pharmaceutical industries throughout the UK and Ireland. The main objective for the Project Engineer is to complete projects on time, to the correct specification and to budget, taking machinery from concept through to warranty.
Responsibilities- Coordinate all project elements including engineering design, quality planning, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and final installation.
- Produce deliverables on-time to customer requirements, clarifying these requirements where necessary.
- Participate in the design of new machines and supporting components.
- Write reports and present progress at project meetings and to clients.
- Degree within Automation or Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
- Strong communication skills are essential, as the Project Engineer will liaise closely with the OEMs, sales, customers, and the Engineering department.
- The role requires a broad skill set, including:
- Proficiency with CAD.
- Familiarity with PLC systems.
- Initiative and the ability to drive projects forward.
- Competence in MS Planner or desire to learn.
- Effective project prioritisation.
Monday - Friday (Some travel required to customer sites). Circa Β£35,000 - 42,000 per year depending on experience.
