Kingston Barnes are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager on behalf of our client to take ownership of their fuel supply and commercial contracts within a regulated, operationally critical environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring contractual compliance, commercial optimisation, and continuity of supply, while working closely with operational teams and external stakeholders.

This is a commercially focused position suited to someone with strong contract management, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement experience.

  • Manage fuel supply contracts across local authority, commercial, industrial, and merchant inputs.
  • Ensure all contractual, legal, safety, environmental, and quality obligations are met.
  • Maintain and develop the contract risk register, ensuring legislative and policy compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement in contract performance through monitoring and action planning.
  • Work closely with suppliers, hauliers, and internal teams to ensure fuel quality and compliance with site rules.
  • Source fuel on optimal commercial terms, meeting price, volume, and quality targets.
  • Support financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L reporting.
  • Proven experience in commercial contract management and negotiation.
  • Strong knowledge of managing complex contracts and performance frameworks.
  • Good financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L reporting.
  • Ability to manage risk, compliance, and operational priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
