Kingston Barnes is recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer for a client of ours in the Wincanton area. This is a great opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer to join an established company with a focus on sustainability and nutrition.
The Role: You will carry out tasks concerning maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical and mechanical equipment, supporting resources, buildings and utility services. You will work on mechanical equipment such as motors, gearboxes, couplings, seals, pumps, valves, pneumatics, and hydraulics and electrical equipment such as sensors, valves, control gear, PDS, and safety systems. Alongside this, you'll make suggestions and propositions to improve the installations and increase plant availability. You'll provide technical support to operators when required and adhere to hygiene and safety guidelines on site.
About you:
- A recognised engineering apprenticeship or appropriate qualification
- Proven experience in a reactive production environment
- Food sector of FMCG background
- Building services experience
- Ability to analyse breakdowns and effectively correct
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams
