Kingsteignton School are seeking to appoint an excellent class teacher who is committed to raising attainment and improving outcomes for children. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a supportive staff team, who are part of the Education South West multi-academy trust. The successful candidate will prioritise building strong relationships and connections with both children and adults alike and will have the vision, passion and drive to achieve excellent outcomes for all pupils. They will model a positive outlook on a daily basis and will encourage all children to aspire and ‘dream big’.

Qualifications and other requirements

This post would suit an individual who has previous experience of teaching in EYFS. The post will likely involve working Monday-Wednesday. The position is subject to a DBS enhanced disclosure check, and to the ability to provide evidence of identity, educational or professional qualifications and registration with an appropriate professional body. The role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English. Education South West safeguarding commitments and appraisal/coaching processes will provide additional support to enhance teaching skills.

Closing date: Friday 12th June 2026 (09:00). Interviews: Wednesday 10th and Friday 19th June 2026. Start date: 1st September 2026. Pay range: Teachers’ Pay Scale (MPS/UPS).
