Digital Marketing Apprentice

Kickstart your career in digital marketing!

We\’re looking for a motivated Digital Marketing Apprentice to join our team and play a key role in delivering a wide range of exciting digital activities. From creating engaging social media content and managing campaigns to supporting SEO research and website enhancements, you’ll gain hands‑on experience across all aspects of digital marketing.

Working closely with our Head of Marketing and divisional teams, you’ll contribute fresh ideas, help shape our digital strategy, and develop valuable skills in a collaborative, forward‑thinking environment.

You will be based at our Basildon site in Essex, working full time 39 hours per week Monday – Friday, undertaking the Level‑3 Multi‑Channel Marketer apprenticeship which is expected to take around 18 months to complete.

To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you’ll need at least three GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ / C or above in any subject, plus GCSE Maths and English at grade 3+ / D or above. You must also not hold a qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject.

Responsibilities of our Digital Marketing Apprentice

• Conduct SEO research and create optimised web content.
• Plan and produce engaging content in collaboration with the digital team.
• Assist with website updates and improvement projects.
• Analyse performance data using tools such as Google Analytics and SEMrush.
• Manage social media channels and create relevant posts.
• Build and send email marketing campaigns, including automation and lead nurturing.
• Work with internal teams and agencies to develop digital assets such as imagery and videos.

What we are looking for in our Digital Marketing Apprentice

• At least three GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ / C or above in any subject, plus GCSE Maths and English at grade 3+ / D or above.
• You must not hold a qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject.
• Communicates clearly and confidently in both written and spoken formats.
• Works autonomously to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to successfully multi‑task.
• Ability to travel within the UK & Ireland.
• Excellent judgment and creative problem‑solving skills.
• Proactive, with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to thrive under pressure while staying flexible and collaborative.
• Committed to continuous self‑development and learning within the marketing field.
• Willingness to complete the Digital Marketing Apprenticeship qualification.

Whilst not essential, the following would be of benefit

• Previous experience in a digital / marketing / social media role
• Previous blogging and online copywriting experience
• Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and ClickDimensions
