Join to apply for the Production Operative (Day shift) role at Kingspan Water & Energy.
As a Production Operative you will be involved in the direct or indirect manufacturing activities relating to the Kingspan product range of pollution control products for water treatment and storage within the water business. The ideal candidate will play a key role in helping develop the Newry site, ensuring products are produced in a timely and cost-effective way. It is essential that as a premium brand we offer premium products and services. All tasks are carried out in strict adherence to Kingspan\\\βs HSE procedures.
Hours of work: 6.15am to 2.45pm Monday to Friday (40 hours).
Key Responsibilities
- Product assembly of the full range of Kingspan products, which could include one or all of the following duties: reading of drawings, component assembly to finished goods, cutting, drilling, laminating, sub assembly of steel fabrications, rotors, separators valves
- Manufacture parts for septic tanks, plant products, separators and any new products or variations which may be introduced, to the standards defined within the specification and the company quality system.
- Laminating of glass reinforced components, which could include one or all of the following duties: spraying, laminating, mould preparation and repair.
- Operate machinery and fit our products to satisfy Customer quality and demand.
- Maintain required quality standards and carry out product quality checks as part of the production process.
- Complete production, quality and maintenance reports.
- Work safely and effectively in accordance with the Work Instructions for the tasks and comply with all Health and Safety Standards.
- Meet machinery / fitting production targets and actively participate in activities designed to continuously improve machine and fitting productivity.
- Ensure all products meet Customer specifications and are well presented.
- Carry out all safety, production, quality checks, and complete documentation as appropriate.
- Minimise downtimes in all areas.
What We\βre Looking For
- GCSEs (or equivalent) grade C or above in Mathematics, and English Language. Significant relevant experience in a manufacturing role may be considered in lieu of academic qualifications.
- Previous experience operating in a Warehouse environment.
- Experience within a fast-moving Manufacturing environment operating heavy machinery.
- Practical knowledge of assembly techniques consistent with the company product range.
- Experience in using hand tools including drills, etc.
- Working as part of a team and also on your own initiative.
- Critical thinking and problem solving.
- Ability to accurately measure and document production activities.
- A mature attitude to work which encompasses Health & Safety, Quality.
- To be thorough and pay attention to detail.
- Effective time management.
