The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in the classroom. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging, pre‑planned lessons and keeping students on task
- Managing classroom behaviour and creating a calm, focused learning environment
- Supporting students with their work where required
- Taking accurate registers and providing clear handover notes for teaching staff
- Working collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need to:
- Have previous experience working in a UK secondary school
- Confidence in managing classroom behaviour positively and effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young people in education
- Suitable references, a valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply), and Right to Work in the UK
