We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic chef to join our friendly team at Kingsmount Residential Home. We are a residential dementia home where you would be providing a nutritious and variable menu for our 32 residents, some of whom may have swallowing difficulties or specific nutritional needs. There will also be up to 7 staff meals to provide from your menu.
You will be supported by a KP during mornings and lunchtimes creating a quieter, peaceful working environment. The hours are sociable sitting between 7am and 3pm over two days and will include some weekend working. You will be reporting to the care home manager.
You will be required to keep the kitchen clean, adhering to Health and Safety procedures, have food hygiene training at level 2 or above, maintain stock levels, have an awareness of better food better business and as such be competent in completing required paperwork daily and to maintain our food hygiene rating at 5.
We offer ongoing training, a free health cash plan which also covers children. The successful application will need to have a DBS check, which will be paid for by the company. If you think you have the right temperament and experience, we'd love to hear from you!
