We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, ambitious and inspirational Site Manager to join our successful Facilities team. Primarily based at Kingsmead School, Brighton Road, Alvaston, Derby DE24 8TE, but when required working at other sites supporting Site Managers and the Estates team around the Derby area. This post is integral to our school and plays an important role in enhancing the teaching and working environment for young people and staff. Our collection of schools is not only changing but also growing, as a result this will require you to be flexible within your duties.
Experience working in educational environments and an understanding of health & safety regulations, including CoSHH and risk assessments is desirable, but support and mentoring will be given to the suitable candidate. With support, you will be responsible for the management of a small team of cleaning and maintenance staff, security, maintenance, health & safety and cleanliness of the school premises and assisting with planned and reactive maintenance and day-to-day repairs within the reasonable capacity of a normal handyperson. You will need a flexible approach to your working day, the ability to identify work priorities and manage your workload whilst ensuring that lower priority work is completed.

Responsibilities- Manage and support a small team of cleaning, maintenance staff, security, and related facilities roles.
- Oversee health & safety and cleanliness of the school premises; assist with planned and reactive maintenance and day-to-day repairs within reasonable capacity.
- Identify work priorities, manage workload, and ensure higher priority tasks are completed efficiently while coordinating with the Estates team.
- Experience working in educational environments is desirable.
- Understanding of health & safety regulations, including CoSHH and risk assessments, is desirable; support and mentoring will be provided to suitable candidates.
- DBS check and other vetting procedures required; two good references.
We may undertake an online check for shortlisted candidates.
