About the role
Do you have excellent administrative skills and a keen interest in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Kingsmead Academy is seeking a Senior Administration Assistant to join its supportive and busy team. This role is a key part of the administration function, with a specific focus on supporting the SENDCo and the SEND department. You will provide comprehensive administrative support, including:
- Maintaining accurate SEND records and databases
- Coordinating EHCP applications and annual reviews
- Preparing documentation for meetings
- Liaising with parents, staff, the Local Authority, and external professionals
- Monitoring statutory deadlines to ensure compliance with SEND legislation
- Supporting the management of SEND resources and budget tracking
- Producing reports and analysing data relating to SEND provision and pupil outcomes
- Coordinating intervention timetables
- Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection requirements at all times
About you
You will:
- Hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification in Business Administration (or equivalent experience)
- Have substantial administrative experience, ideally within an education or SEND environment
- Demonstrate excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
- Possess strong communication skills, with the confidence to liaise effectively with parents, staff, external professionals and the Local Authority
- Have excellent ICT skills, including experience of managing databases and producing reports
- Show a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when maintaining sensitive records
- Be able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team
- Demonstrate professionalism, discretion and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Be committed to inclusive practice and supporting positive outcomes for students with SEND
