An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an established Building Services leader to join a highly successful, growing multidisciplinary built environment consultancy as a Partner. Based from a major regional office in Winchester, this is a senior strategic appointment offering the opportunity to lead and grow an established Building Services business across the South, while also influencing the future direction of the discipline nationally.

This is not simply a team management role. We are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded leader who wants genuine influence over strategy, clients, people and growth – with the potential to progress to Equity Partner.

The Opportunity

You'll join an established multidisciplinary office of 150+ professionals, working alongside senior leaders across engineering, project management, cost consultancy, building surveying, sustainability, architecture and property consultancy. The platform is already there: strong client relationships, complementary disciplines, an established team and the investment to grow. Your role will be to build on it.

You'll take responsibility for strengthening the Building Services offering across Winchester and the wider Central South, developing existing relationships, opening new markets and creating opportunities across sectors including:

  • Healthcare
  • Defence
  • Education
  • Science & Technology
  • Residential
  • Public Sector
  • Infrastructure
  • Data Centres

Alongside your regional responsibilities, you'll work with Building Services leaders across the UK to help shape the wider discipline, drive technical excellence and identify new opportunities for national growth.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Leading and growing the regional Building Services business
  • Developing and executing a clear growth strategy
  • Winning work and developing strategic client relationships
  • Identifying new markets, clients and service opportunities
  • Leading major bids and multidisciplinary opportunities
  • Developing, mentoring and attracting high-performing engineers
  • Taking responsibility for commercial performance and profitability
  • Driving technical excellence, innovation and sustainability
  • Collaborating with other disciplines to unlock wider client opportunities
  • Contributing to regional and national business strategy

Who Are We Looking For?

We're interested in speaking with established Building Services Directors, Regional Directors and Partners who have the credibility and ambition to take ownership of a significant regional business. You'll ideally bring:

  • Chartered Engineer status – CIBSE, IET or equivalent
  • A strong Building Services consultancy background
  • A demonstrable track record of winning work
  • Established client relationships and a strong professional network
  • Commercial and P&L responsibility
  • Experience leading and developing successful teams
  • Strong knowledge of the Hampshire, Central South and/or wider Southern market
  • The ability to operate strategically whilst remaining close to clients and opportunities

Above all, we're looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset – a leader who can see opportunities, bring people with them and wants to play a meaningful role in building something.

Why Consider It?

The business has experienced significant growth and continues to invest heavily in its people, disciplines and target markets. For the right individual, this creates an opportunity to join at an exciting point in that journey and benefit from:

  • A clear route to Equity Partner
  • Genuine autonomy to shape and grow a regional business
  • An established multidisciplinary platform and client base
  • Significant cross-selling and work-winning opportunities
  • Influence over the national Building Services strategy
  • Investment and support to grow your team
  • Long-term career and value-creation potential

For an ambitious Building Services leader who feels they have reached the ceiling in their current organisation – or an existing Partner looking for greater autonomy, influence and long-term opportunity – this is well worth a confidential conversation. All discussions will be handled in the strictest confidence.
