Are you a detail-driven Estimator with a passion for delivering high-quality fit out and refurbishment projects? This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving, forward-thinking construction business operating across the commercial, retail, leisure and education sectors. You will play a pivotal role within a dynamic Pre‑Construction & Commercial team, shaping project success from the earliest stages through smart pricing, strategic input, and strong collaboration.
The Role
As Estimator, you will take full ownership of tender pricing and cost planning, ensuring every project is competitively priced, commercially robust, and fully aligned with operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing accurate cost estimates for fit out and refurbishment projects
- Analysing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Producing BOQs, schedules of rates and pricing documents
- Building strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
- Developing and maintaining a comprehensive library of rates
- Supporting value engineering with pre‑construction and design teams
- Managing tender risk registers, clarifications and assumptions
- Attending site visits to inform pricing strategy
- Producing high‑quality, compliant tender submissions
- Supporting handover to delivery teams with full commercial transparency
- Monitoring market trends, costs and industry movements
- Liaising with clients, consultants and supply chain partners
- Contributing to continuous improvement across estimating processes
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as an Estimator in fit out and refurbishment
- Strong understanding of construction methods and procurement routes
- Confident using estimating software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent numerical, analytical and communication skills
- Able to manage multiple tenders under pressure
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Solid knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction standards
