About the Role: Are you an expert who has lived and breathed data centre construction and possesses a strong network of contacts within this fast-growing sector? We are seeking a Sector Lead with extensive experience in the data centre and telecommunications industries to join a prestigious consultancy. As the Sector Lead, you will oversee and manage high-profile data centre projects from inception to completion, ensuring excellence in every phase. This role demands strong commercial acumen, exceptional project management expertise, and a proven history of delivering large-scale data centre projects on time and within budget. Your ability to build and develop teams and drive business growth will be essential in shaping the success of this division. Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and oversee multiple data centre and telecoms construction projects. Deliver comprehensive end-to-end project management from feasibility and planning through to construction, commissioning, and handover. Develop and manage project plans, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Build and lead a specialist team working across the UK. Drive business development strategies to enhance market presence and client engagement. Offer turnkey solutions that integrate project management, commercial management, and contract administration. Oversee commercial and contracting processes, including procurement, cost planning, contract formation, and dispute resolution. Engage with stakeholders, clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project execution. Oversee acquisition services, due diligence, and environmental considerations for data centre construction. Develop strategies that prioritize cost efficiency, sustainability, and innovation within the sector. Required Skills and Experience: Construction-related degree and RICS qualified (or equivalent). Proven experience in building and leading high-performing teams. Extensive background in business development and client relationship management. Strong commercial awareness and an in-depth understanding of contracting processes, including procurement, contract administration, and dispute resolution.
