An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and experienced Building Surveyor to take on a key leadership role within a highly respected, multi-disciplinary consultancy. This is a rare chance to establish and grow a Building Surveying team in the firm’s Winchester office, backed by the resources, reputation, and client base of a well-established national practice with a progressive culture.
This position will suit a technically strong, commercially minded surveyor with a focus on professional services, who enjoys client engagement, business development, and leading and developing people.
As Director, you will lead the Building Surveying function in Winchester, with responsibility for expanding its regional presence and driving sustainable growth across a varied portfolio of work. The workload will have a strong emphasis on professional services, including:
- Building pathology
- Pre-acquisition surveys
You will also oversee project work and insurance remediation schemes. You will work across a broad range of sectors, including public buildings, residential, healthcare, defence, commercial, and education maintaining and developing strong client relationships and ensuring consistently high standards of service.
- Lead, develop, and grow a successful Building Surveying team in the Winchester office
- Deliver a broad range of professional building surveying services, with particular focus on dilapidations, party wall, and building pathology
- Oversee project work and insurance remediation schemes from inception to completion where required
- Prepare, implement, and monitor business plans to support growth, profitability, and client development
- Take an active role in business development and networking to secure new opportunities and strengthen the firm’s market presence
- Recruit, mentor, and manage team members, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous development
