A rare opportunity to build, lead and scale a brand-new Marine & Coastal Infrastructure team within a respected multi-disciplinary consultancy. This is a big mandate with national reach, full autonomy, and the backing of an established business that is investing heavily in its coastal and maritime capability.

If you want to shape a new service line, grow a team from the ground up, and lead major coastal infrastructure programmes across the UK, this is the role.

What you will do

  • Lead and win work across ports, harbours, coastal defence, flood resilience, offshore support and maritime infrastructure
  • Oversee delivery across design, procurement, construction and commissioning
  • Mentor and guide senior PMs and engineers, building a collaborative, high-performing team
  • Act as a trusted adviser at board and executive level, deepening relationships and driving repeat business
  • Shape market positioning, bids, frameworks and long-term strategic growth
  • Champion innovation, sustainability and resilience across coastal and marine programmes

Must‑haves (please read before applying)

  • Proven UK delivery of marine/coastal infrastructure projects (ports, harbours, coastal defence, flood resilience, maritime infrastructure)
  • Leadership of multi-disciplinary teams, with accountability for P&L, growth and delivery excellence
  • Demonstrable business development success – bids, frameworks, market positioning, key accounts
  • Strong technical credibility across marine/coastal engineering, construction delivery and asset resilience
  • Degree in engineering, project management or a related discipline
  • Chartered status preferred (CEng / ICE / ChPP / APM / MRICS or equivalent)
  • Willingness to travel across UK coastal locations as project demands require

What you can expect

  • Create and shape a new national offering with full senior leadership backing
  • Hybrid working across Winchester, Plymouth or Southampton
  • Competitive salary, executive benefits and clear long-term progression
  • A consultancy that values innovation, autonomy, collaboration and strategic thinking
  • The chance to build something significant and lasting in the UK marine infrastructure space
