A leading global property consultancy is looking to appoint an Associate Director or Director to help lead and grow its Quantity Surveying / Cost Management service in Birmingham. This is an opportunity to step into a team with strong foundations already in place, but with clear ambition to significantly expand its presence across the Midlands. With an established client base and a small but capable existing team, the business is now seeking an individual who can help drive the next phase of growth.

The current workload spans a diverse mix of public and private sector projects, offering both stability and variety. However, the real focus of this role is growth — developing new opportunities, strengthening existing relationships, and elevating the service offering in the region. You will work closely with colleagues across project management, building surveying, and the wider general practice team, giving you access to an extensive client network and a strong platform for cross-selling. This is a highly collaborative environment where the right individual can quickly make an impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and lead the growth of the Quantity Surveying / Cost Management service in Birmingham
  • Develop new business opportunities across both public and private sectors
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maximise opportunities across the wider business
  • Deliver high-quality cost consultancy services across a varied project portfolio
  • Support the development and expansion of the existing team

About You:

You will bring strong experience across a range of sectors, with the ability to operate confidently in both public and private markets. You are commercially aware, personable, and enjoy working in a collaborative, client-facing environment. You may already be operating at Director level, or you could be an Associate Director looking for a platform where you can step up and play a more influential role in shaping a growing service line. MRICS is preferred, but your ability to build relationships, win work, and deliver quality outcomes will be key. This is a role for someone who wants more than just delivery — it’s for someone who wants to grow a business, influence strategy, and be part of something that is gaining real momentum.
