We are seeking a Regulatory Associate (1+ PQE) to join our busy and highly regarded Regulatory team. Top ranked in Chambers UK and Legal 500; our Regulatory team are recognised as one of the best in the UK with a broad spectrum of knowledge and expertise. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex and sensitive cases, supporting professional regulators in preparing matters for Fitness to Practise and disciplinary proceedings.
You’ll take ownership of your own caseload while collaborating closely with colleagues across the team. This is a varied and hands‑on role that will see you:
- Manage a caseload of regulatory and professional discipline matters
- Assess incoming instructions and develop case strategy
- Analyse evidence and identify key legal issues
- Draft allegations, witness statements, and key legal documents
- Interview and liaise with witnesses
- Instruct Counsel and expert witnesses where appropriate
- Work closely with clients, registrants’ representatives, and internal stakeholders
- Supervise Paralegals and contribute to team development
- Ensure adherence to service level agreements and case management systems
About You
We’re looking for a motivated and commercially aware Associate who can thrive in a fast‑paced environment. We’re looking for candidates with:
- 1+ years’ PQE (or equivalent experience) in regulatory or professional discipline work
- Strong drafting and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- The ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise effectively
- Confidence in client communication, both written and verbal
- A collaborative approach and willingness to support junior team members
- Commercial and pragmatic thinking
- A proactive, positive mindset with a commitment to continuous learning
