Kingsley Napley LLP is recruiting an Associate (3–5 years PQE) to join our Regulatory practice. Top ranked in Chambers UK and Legal 500, our Regulatory team is recognised as one of the best in the UK with a broad spectrum of knowledge and expertise. Our lawyers advise and support solicitors, professionals and businesses in all aspects of their dealings with UK regulators across the legal accountancy, finance, healthcare, and health & safety and fire sectors.

We are looking for an Associate (3–5 years PQE) to work across the team and support an enormously varied and interesting mix of cases. There will be a particular focus on supporting Iain Miller, Julie Norris and Jessica Clay in our Legal Services Regulatory team. Regarded as ‘the law firm for law firms’, the team has gone from strength to strength over the years, developing, retaining and recruiting some of the best, from private practice and in-house in the ever-changing & evolving world of regulatory professional discipline. Our team advise leading law firms; from both an advisory and investigation/ disciplinary standpoint, and are at the forefront of developing new, innovative services for their clients.

We are looking for someone ambitious who is keen to help support and develop this area of work, as well as work on other matters with all partners across the team where the opportunity arises. This could also be a great opportunity for someone who has already worked within the in-house risk team of a law firm to join our growing market leading legal services regulatory practice.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience within regulatory/ professional discipline, ideally within legal services regulation
  • Litigation and/or technical advisory experience in a disciplinary or regulatory context
  • Strong legal analysis and drafting skills
  • A very capable, inquisitive and ambitious person looking to complement a growing team
  • An ability to get up to speed quickly on matters and to shift focus/ direction with competing demands and deadlines
  • A keen interest to broaden their own knowledge and understanding
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and drafting skills
  • Honesty, integrity and professionalism
