K

Hours: 08:00-16:00 Monday to Friday with a degree of flexibility required.

Department: Building & Operations

Contract: Permanent

We're looking for a proactive and organised Facilities Assistant to join our friendly and collaborative Facilities Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in facilities and workplace operations within a leading law firm. Full training will be provided, so previous facilities experience is not essential. We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills and a willingness to learn.

You'll play an important role in creating an exceptional workplace experience for our colleagues and clients, helping to ensure our meeting rooms, client areas and event spaces are always presented to the highest standard.

This role is fully office-based, so you'll need to be comfortable travelling into our office each working day.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Ensure meeting rooms, collaboration spaces and client areas are set up and presented to a high standard
  • Complete daily room set-ups and resets for meetings, events and client visits
  • Conduct regular inspections of meeting rooms and client-facing spaces across the firm
  • Provide support for internal and client events, including room preparation and event set-up
  • Carry out routine audio-visual equipment checks and assist with basic troubleshooting
  • Work closely with Facilities, IT, Hospitality and other teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively
  • Support health and safety compliance by identifying and reporting maintenance and facilities issues
  • Assist with floor walks and workplace checks to ensure a consistently professional environment
  • Receive training as a Fire Marshal, First Aider and DSE Assessor
  • Provide support across the wider Office Services function when required

You'll gain exposure to a varied role that combines facilities management, workplace operations, client service and event support.

What We're Looking For

  • A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Previous experience in a customer service, hospitality, retail, office or similar environment would be beneficial, but is not essential
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A customer-focused approach and genuine desire to help others
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and remain calm under pressure
  • Confidence using Microsoft Outlook and other Microsoft Office applications
  • A reliable team player with a strong work ethic
  • Willingness and ability to undertake manual handling and physical aspects of the role, including meeting room and event set‑ups
  • Commitment to working on‑site five days per week
  • An interest in building a career in facilities, workplace services or office operations

Why Join Us?

You’ll be part of a Facilities Team that is:

  • Supportive, collaborative and highly valued within the firm
  • Focused on creating an outstanding workplace experience
  • Committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Dedicated to providing exceptional service to both colleagues and clients

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience, develop valuable workplace skills and build a rewarding career within a professional services environment, with full training and ongoing support provided.
