Kingsley Napley (KN) is looking to recruit an experienced Associate (2–5 years PQE) to join our busy and growing Restructuring & Insolvency (R&I) team and to advise clients on a wide range of contentious, non-contentious and advisory matters. Our highly experienced R&I experts have significant experience helping a wide range of clients. Our R&I lawyers work alongside experts from our Corporate, Real Estate, Employment and Dispute Resolution teams - ensuring every client receives a seamless and specialist service. The successful individual will work on all aspects of the firm’s R&I offering, alongside a fully complemented team and the head of R&I, Dan Sejas. Dan is recognised as a Ranked 1 National Leader in insolvency work, undertaking advisory, non-contentious, and contentious restructuring and insolvency assignments.
The successful candidate will see an enormously varied workload of R&I matters, including advisory, contentious and non-contentious work - acting for insolvency practitioners, corporates, directors, distressed investors, lenders and creditors, delivering clear, pragmatic advice and building strong client relationships.
What are we looking for?
- 2–5 years PQE with proven experience in restructuring and insolvency including contentious, non-contentious and advisory matters
- An ability to get up to speed quickly on matters and ability to shift focus/ direction with competing demands and deadlines
- An ability to manage complex matters independently and be a mentor to junior team members.
- A keen interest to broaden their own knowledge and understanding – our team members are more than happy to share their expertise and knowledge, but we’re looking for someone proactive and eager to learn, who will take the initiative and seize opportunities
- An entrepreneurial spirit and interest in developing and organising marketing/ networking events. Someone who takes proactive steps to push forward BD objectives
- Someone who adopts a positive and open ‘growth mindset’ and embraces change
- Honesty, integrity and professionalism
