The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 ÂŁ per year.
As a Learning and Development Coordinator, you will design, plan, and deliver a comprehensive range of training programmes to ensure our teams deliver highâquality, personâcentred care. You will coordinate learning and development across our residential and nursing care homes (and potentially homecare branches), predominantly in the Midlands, London and along the South coast, but, as part of the Learning and Development Team will be expected to travel to other areas to cover as and when required.
As part of your responsibility you will cover mandatory training examples; Moving and Assisting, Safeguarding, First Aid, and Basic Life Support, as well as advanced subjects like the Mental Capacity Act and Dementia care. You will also support induction training in new services, develop homeâbased champions, and carry out supervisions to maintain training standards.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Design, plan and deliver a wide range of training courses, including but not limited to Safeguarding, Moving and Assisting, First Aid, Dementia and the Mental Capacity Act;
- Deliver highâquality training to groups of Kingsley Healthcare employees across multiple sites;
- Conduct learner assessments and ensure outcomes meet Skills for Care and CQC standards;
- Support induction training for new homes and employees, ensuring consistent delivery;
- Facilitate and lead Champion programmes, supporting home champions to achieve required standards;
- Maintain accurate training records and adapt to varying operational needs;
- Provide guidance and troubleshooting support on the eâlearning system;
- Keep training content and methods current and aligned with best practices and Kingsley's ethos.
Skills and attributes
- Proven experience in delivering careârelated training across varied subjects is essential;
- Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills;
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks in care (e.g. Skills for Care, CQC);
- Compassionate, empathetic, and able to engage a wide range of learners;
- Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Flexible and able to travel between sites as required;
- Experience in designing new course content as required.
Education and qualification
- L3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent recognised teaching/training qualification) is essential;
- Upâtoâdate knowledge and experience in delivering subjects including Safeguarding, Moving and Assisting, First Aid and Basic Life Support is essential;
- NUCO and RoSPA qualifications desirable.
