About the role

As a Maintenance Person, you will make sure the premises and grounds are maintained to a high standard. Performing regular checks, carrying out repairs and, when needed, contact engineers or service agents. You will be confident in doing fire, basic electrical and appliance checks. As the home’s Maintenance Person, you’ll be a valuable member of their friendly, close-knit team, promoting the well‑being of the residents and the successful running of the home.

Reports to: Home Manager/Asset Manager

Skills and attributes

  • Previous experience in property maintenance or a related field
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in the use of computer software, including spreadsheets and word processing programs
  • Ability to manage budgets and maintain accurate financial records
  • D1 driving licence is desirable but not essential
