As a Gardener, your primary responsibilities are to maintain the premises and grounds to a high standard. You will perform regular checks, install and maintain seasonal plants, mow, trim and fertilize green spaces, mulch, edge and weed gardens, prune and trim trees and bushes, maintain gardening equipment and machinery such as mowers, trimmers and leaf blowers, monitor plant health, deal with pest problems, and keep gardens and green spaces clear of debris and litter. As the home’s Gardener, you’ll be a valuable member of our friendly, close‑knit team, promoting the well‑being of the residents and the successful running of the home.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Gardener
  • Familiarity with landscaping design
  • Own transport required
  • Extensive knowledge of regional plant life
  • Knowledge of local pests and how to eliminate them
  • Knowledge of synthetic and natural fertilizers
  • Knowledge of state health and safety regulations for landscaping
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • Ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time
